The Templates page gives you a gallery of reusable pipeline configurations. You can start from a system template, save your own pipeline as a template, and create new pipelines from either one.
You can search templates by name from the Templates page.

Available templates

Templates are pre-configured pipelines designed for common document processing tasks.
  • System templates are built in and maintained by Ingestly
  • Custom templates are templates you save from your own pipelines
Each card shows the template name, description, and node count. System templates are marked System. Templates you save are marked Custom.

Creating a pipeline from a template

  1. Open Templates
  2. Click Use on the template you want
  3. Enter the new pipeline name, description, and retention period
  4. Click Create Pipeline
Ingestly creates a new pipeline with the template configuration already applied. It then opens the new pipeline so you can start editing right away.

Saving a pipeline as a template

You can save an existing pipeline as a reusable template.
  1. Open the pipeline
  2. Open the page actions menu
  3. Click Save as Template
  4. Enter a template name and description
  5. Click Save Template
Ingestly saves the current pipeline configuration as a custom template. You can reuse that template to create more pipelines with the same starting structure.

Managing templates

  • You can edit the name and description of custom templates
  • You can delete custom templates you no longer need
  • You cannot edit or delete system templates
Templates are a starting point. After you create a pipeline from a template, the new pipeline is independent from the original template.
